Training this week 11 March

Hope your week is going well - sorry I did not get to you sooner but have been out of action until today.
Well, I knew I was being ambitious but I couldn’t decide on a few people after last week .. so we will go with the same time this week – 7-8.30pm.
There will also be someone at the venue from Ryde Hockey store selling equipment, so if you need shin pads etc this is probably an easy way to buy – save you a drive to Homebush or shopping online – we will have time from 7-7.30pm.
As I only have a few of you to plug into the team lists - we will be set with the teams at the end of this week’s training.
Fitness starts this week too.
Any questions – give me a bell, otherwise I will see you all on Thursday at 7pm.
Hockey Season 2010

This week begins the new hockey season for us.
Training is this Thursday – March 4th – at Kyeemagh, 6.30-8.30pm.
As I am still chasing up some slow registrations, I will SMS you all tonight with your training time – within that time frame. If you do not receive an SMS by tomorrow morning, please message me to ask your time.
A few things to note:
Uniforms : If you are new we will be handing out uniforms over the next few weeks but probably not this week. If you played for the first time with the club in summer 2009, you will need to purchase your uniform – even though you have it. However if you have socks from summer and paid for them this will come off the fee. You will need to pay a uniform fee of $50 in addition to your registration of $400.
Fees – If you have already paid your fees and have paid $400, please reply to this email with you bank details for a refund of the early payment fee of $10. To clarify the fee structure –

Uniform $60 (just socks $10, summer 2009 new $50)

Grading – I am grading on paper today, hoping to get it 90% correct – the final 10% I will work on Thursday – if you have grading requirements, please let me know. If you are wishing to be graded with a friend, please double check with them first as grading will be then done on the basis of the weaker player, that is, you will be both graded up rather than down if your skill level differs.
One last thing – if your plans have changed, please withdraw now... as we are on a tight pre-season, we can not afford drop outs after grading has been completed or no-shows on Thursday.

Well it's that time again - registrations are now open for the 2010 season.

Thursdays 4th and 11th March
Trial Matches - Sunday March 28th - 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, Kyeemagh
Fees - $400
By way of an explanation, the fees have gone up $50 but the Trivia Night has been removed - we will still do a round of fundraising chocolates early in the season. If as a club we can find a way to do some further fundraising, we can consider a refund on the fees at the end of the year. The figure of $400 is probably still a little short of the actual mark but we will see how we go. There is also no longer a goal keeper discount.

Uniforms
New players need to buy uniforms at a cost of $60 - includes shirt, skirt and purple socks - these were new in 2009.
Bike pants/Visors/Spare Socks Plenty in stock this year so please feel free to order.

Winter season news

We will not have access to Kyeemagh on a Wednesday anymore and have been given a slot of a Thursday 6.30-8.30pm - half pitch. As there are no other alternative fields where we can take our business we need to work with this allocation.
As it has been many years since we have trained other than a Wednesday - I wanted to make you aware of this so that you can be prepared. My apologies for this change - it is out of my control. I am happy to discuss any issues people may have, just email me.
I will be sending the registration information out at the end of the month.

Socks: A reminder if you got new purple socks for summer to please bring $10 with you to the game next week.
Please arrive on time for warm-up to save everyone else worrying about numbers - I also need to stress the need to give as much advance warning as possible - letting me know at 5pm or later allows me no time to arrange subs.

Time for you to go forth and spread the good word. We are reached that sticky impasse of too many players for 2 teams just enough for 3 (we currently have 12 per team).
My first port of call before I consider doublers is to have you all do a bit of active recruiting. We need 3-6 more people for me to feel comfortable (and we all know how important that is!)

Summer registration is now available. The competition will be on Wednesday nights from 14 October to 12 December.
You can register online or download the registration form. Registrations must be completed and paid for by 21 October.
